Community Band South is available for concert appearances at nearly any venue. We arrange for CBS performances through people we know, from referrals, music teachers, clubs and, churches. Usually the word gets passed around that we do concerts and are available. We have relied on several call-backs that we do every year, like the Concert-On-the-Hill at John McMillan Church and the Bethel Park Tower Concerts, but by and large we do not solicit jobs. 

Since one of our purposes as an organization is to serve the communities from which we draw our membership, we will often perform as a benefit. If an organization has an entertainment budget we accept a donation.

CBS borrows music from the Upper St. Clair and Bethel Park band libraries. The directors also buy new selections. We have purchased percussion instruments, equipment, reimbursed for mailings and supplies and paid for bus transportation and social events. No individual, player or director, in the band has ever received money for service.
